Welcome to Forge. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Forge Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our") governing your use of the Forge mobile application, any related services, and any content we make available (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You own the content you post. Be kind and lawful. Don't abuse the Service. Forge is a self-help tool, not medical care. We provide the Service as-is and may change or end it at any time. Disputes are handled in the State of New Jersey, USA.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Forge. By using the Service you represent that you are 17 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
You are responsible for:
Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You retain all rights in the content you submit to Forge — including posts, comments, journal entries, check-ins, and any other material you create ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting only), and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except to the extent that (a) backup copies take up to 90 days to purge and (b) other users have already interacted with publicly posted content.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have the right to post it and that it does not violate any law or these Terms.
Forge is a community focused on recovery and wellbeing. When using the Service, you agree not to:
We may review, move, hide, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or is harmful to users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or severely violate these Terms. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.
To report a violation, email [email protected] with a link to the content and a short description of the issue.
Forge lets you connect with other users as accountability partners. When you accept a partner request, certain private information (including your streak progress and selected check-ins) may be shared with that partner. You can end an accountability connection at any time from Settings.
Accountability partners are other users — not medical professionals. We do not verify their qualifications or identity beyond basic account verification.
Forge is a self-help tool designed to support personal reflection and community connection during recovery. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional care, and it is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, addiction, or mental health condition. If you are in recovery, work with a qualified healthcare professional. If you are in crisis, contact the resources listed in our Privacy Policy or call local emergency services.
The Service relies on third parties including Google/Firebase and Apple. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services that are not under our control.
Any resources, coaching listings, or products referenced in the App are provided for informational purposes. A listing is not an endorsement and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any third-party resource.
Forge offers a free tier with core features and optional paid subscriptions ("Forge Pro" and "Forge Pro Premium") that unlock additional features. Current pricing is shown in the App before you purchase.
We may offer a free trial when you start a new subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the price shown in the App at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account and renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you choose) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your payment method within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops automatic renewal; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current paid period. Deleting the App or your Forge account does not automatically cancel your subscription — you must cancel through Apple.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly. To the extent permitted by law, payments are non-refundable except as required by Apple's standard refund policy or applicable consumer protection law.
We may change subscription pricing or the features included in each tier from time to time. Material price changes affecting your existing subscription will be communicated in advance and require your consent before they take effect, in accordance with Apple's policies. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Service — including the Forge name, logos, and all related software, text, graphics, and design — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights in the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. If we terminate your account for violation, we may retain a limited record of the violation for compliance and fraud-prevention purposes.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections on Your Content license (to the extent necessary for backups), Medical Disclaimer, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL Forge Labs LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (a) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (b) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (c) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (d) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL BASIS, AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Forge Labs LLC, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal and accounting fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or any feature of it, at any time. We will try to give you advance notice of material changes when reasonably possible.
We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hudson County, New Jersey, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent court.
Optional arbitration clause — remove or customize based on legal advice: "You and we agree that any claim between us will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You and we waive any right to participate in a class action."
If you obtained the Service through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge:
Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, or employment relationship between you and us.
